Threadcount Vestiges is a body of work that explores the afterlives of my garments by transforming cotton bedsheets into handmade paper. It draws on the existing rag-to-paper lineage, in which domestic cloth becomes a substrate for memory. By casting and embedding garments with paper sheets made with bedsheet pulp, I attempt to remove the soil of sweat, stain, and wear while simultaneously preserving those traces as enduring records.
